Locally & Globally
As a member of the Zonta Club of Minneapolis, we join Zontians all over the world working to advance the status of women through various service, advocacy and fund-raising efforts to support the main objectives of Zonta, which are:
To Improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the
global and local level through service and advocacy.
To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a fellowship of executives in
business in business and the professions.
To promte justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
To be united internationally to foster high ehtical standards, to implement service programs and to provide
mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world.
This Minneapolis chapter was chartered in 1926 by Mrs. Katherine Wallen who came from South Bend, Indiana. Our current membership is approximately 20 executives and professionals from diverse backgrounds. It is our focus to create agreater awareness and appreciation of the objects of Zonta through service to our community and to the world.

The Zonta Club of Minneapolis is part of Zonta International, a world-wide organization of women in business and the professions working to improve the political, legal, health, economic and professional status of women.
